About the position
Beauport Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Event Sales Manager with a focus on weddings for Cruiseport Gloucester/Beauport Cruiselines. This full-time position involves managing social sales and events, particularly weddings, while collaborating with a team of Event Managers. The role emphasizes guest service and creating memorable experiences for event guests.
Responsibilities
- Provide prospective clients with tours and site visits, presenting and explaining food & beverage options.
- Generate detailed proposals and maintain detailed files of communication and client inquiries, ensuring proper follow-up.
- Produce contracts and secure deposits for events.
- Generate event orders and manage events from start to finish.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and vendors to ensure successful events.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in catering, hospitality, and/or sales, preferably in a management role.
- Must have wedding experience.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with maximum efficiency and attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of industry-relevant Catering Sales Systems, including Caterease and Social Tables.
- Ability to effectively lead staff and work cohesively as part of a team.
