About the position

The Event Manager at the Connecticut Convention Center is responsible for providing professional client services support in the planning, organization, and management of various events. This role involves monitoring logistics and ensuring all event-related tasks are completed efficiently, from the initial planning stages through to the conclusion of the events.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to provide professional support for event planning and management.
  • Monitor logistics for events and ensure all tasks are completed post-event.
  • Manage space requirements and inventory for scheduled events.
  • Coordinate equipment rentals, tastings, menus, and invoicing.
  • Assist in theme concept and decorating for events.
  • Provide excellent guest service and support to clients as necessary.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of event management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and guest service focused.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Delphi and Market Vision.
