About the position

The Event Manager is responsible for producing, managing, and executing a variety of events, including tenant events, concerts, banquets, and conferences. This role requires a strong understanding of event logistics, production documents, and effective communication across departments to ensure successful event execution. The Event Manager will also serve as a liaison between clients and the facility, ensuring all requirements are met while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, manage and execute events including tenant events, concerts, banquets, and conferences.
  • Evaluate rigging overlays for concerts and live productions, ensuring production staff are in contact with local labor and secure necessary engineering evaluations.
  • Develop event documents to communicate operational needs effectively across departments.
  • Determine proper staffing levels according to event requirements and facility security and safety.
  • Ensure production requirements, event estimates, and final billings are completed timely.
  • Maintain post-event summaries and correspondence for all events.
  • Act as a liaison between the client and facility, ensuring all requirements are met and facility rules are adhered to.
  • Provide quality customer service to facility staff, clients, and the general public.
  • Work alongside the Front of House Coordinator on customer service initiatives and follow up requests for events as necessary.
  • Perform front of house operations as the Front of House Manager for events when needed.

Requirements

  • Four (4) year Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in the meeting planning or event planning industries.
  • Proven ability to develop, organize and communicate event documents for large-scale public events.
  • Effective communicator and decision-maker in a high-pressure, fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize daily workloads.
  • Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines through multi-tasking in high-pressure situations.
  • Skilled in establishing strong customer relations and meeting or exceeding customer needs and expectations.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design programs (CAD) such as AutoCAD, preferred.
