About the position

The Event Manager at MERUS Adventure™ is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events that embody the adventurous spirit of the company. This role involves managing logistics, vendor relations, and ensuring a seamless guest experience for events ranging from large festivals to corporate retreats.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, organization, and on-site execution of key events such as Texas Toyota Takeover and MERUS MTB Festival.
  • Manage logistics, vendor coordination, and all operational components to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with sponsors, corporate partners, and vendors to support event success.
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring all events remain within financial guidelines.
  • Oversee the training and performance of event-related staff, ensuring alignment with MERUS Adventure's™ values.
  • Gather feedback from guests, vendors, and sponsors to evaluate event success and prepare post-event reports.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning and execution, preferably in outdoor adventure or hospitality-related events.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a focus on sponsor and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in event management software, project management tools, and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
