About the position

The Event Manager at Inogen is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution, focusing on managing the company's presence at tradeshow events and online webinars. This role ensures client satisfaction while adhering to budgetary constraints and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event operations and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement event plans, timelines, and budgets for tradeshows and online webinars, both in the U.S. and internationally.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors, including caterers, venues, decorators, and audiovisual teams.
• Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, transportation, catering, staffing, and equipment rentals.
• Collaborate with downstream field marketing and marketing communications teams to promote events via social media, email campaigns, and advertising.
• Ensure the smooth execution of events by managing staff and vendors on-site, addressing any issues that may arise.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist with administrative tasks to support downstream and upstream initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in tradeshow event management or a similar role.
• Familiarity with writing and developing work instructions (WI) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM.
• Knowledge of the durable medical equipment (DME) industry is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
