About the position

The Event Manager is responsible for producing, managing, and executing a variety of events, including tenant events, concerts, banquets, and conferences. This role requires effective communication and coordination with various departments to ensure operational needs are met and events run smoothly. The Event Manager will also act as a liaison between clients and the facility, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, manage, and execute events including tenant events, concerts, banquets, and conferences.
  • Evaluate rigging overlays for concerts and live productions, ensuring production staff are in contact with local labor and secure necessary engineering evaluations.
  • Develop event documents to communicate operational needs to all departments.
  • Determine proper staffing levels according to event requirements and facility security and safety.
  • Ensure timely completion of production requirements, event estimates, and final billings.
  • Maintain post-event summaries and correspondence for all events.
  • Act as a liaison between the client and facility, ensuring all requirements are met and facility policies are adhered to.
  • Provide quality customer service to facility staff, clients, and the general public.
  • Work alongside the Front of House Coordinator on customer service initiatives and follow-up requests for events.
  • Perform front of house operations as the Front of House Manager when needed.

Requirements

  • Four (4) year Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in the meeting planning or event planning industries.
  • Proven ability to develop, organize, and communicate event documents for large-scale public events.
  • Effective communicator and decision-maker in a high-pressure, fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize daily workloads.
  • Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines through multi-tasking in high-pressure situations.
  • Skilled in establishing strong customer relations and meeting or exceeding customer needs and expectations.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design programs (CAD) such as AutoCAD, preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with large-scale public events.
  • Familiarity with production documents for concerts and live productions.
