About the position

The Event Manager will oversee the operations of a unique Halloween pop-up cocktail experience in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter. This role is crucial for ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly, from managing staff to handling customer interactions and ticketing processes. The Event Manager will be responsible for creating an engaging atmosphere for guests while maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all event operations during the experience, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient workflows.
• Manage ticket checking and entry process to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
• Lead and motivate a small team of event staff.
• Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts with customers or staff promptly and professionally.
• Ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all on-the-ground event operations.
• Provide post-event feedback and reports to the production team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Event Manager or in a similar event supervisory role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations calmly.
• Experience with ticketing systems and guest entry management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and availability to work evenings, specifically Wednesday to Sunday, with a focus on Saturday nights.

• Experience in bar or food & beverage operations is a plus.
