About the position

The Event Manager at Marriott University of Dayton is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of events, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction for both clients and attendees. This role involves managing all aspects of events from pre-planning to post-event follow-up, with a focus on detail and effective communication. The Event Manager will work closely with clients to understand their vision and bring it to life, while also promoting repeat business through exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest levels of customer service to internal partners and external clients at all times.
  • Deliver a successful experience for the planner and attendees with the goal of garnering both repeat and referral business.
  • Respond in a quick, timely, and professional manner to all internal partners and external customers.
  • Effectively and efficiently monitor and manage all aspects of the pre-event, event, and post-event details.
  • Track, detail, and communicate the particulars of each assigned event and group, including room blocks, meeting space, special concessions, and other integral aspects.
  • Gain knowledge of hotel's food and beverage products, pricing, and presentation.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation, and organizational skills with a keen focus on details.
