About the position

The Event Manager will oversee the entire events program for a home improvement retail network, focusing on planning, managing, and executing various events throughout San Diego County. This role requires a proactive approach to lead generation and event coordination, ensuring a legendary customer experience while driving significant sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, rehearse, manage and retain up to 10 'Brand Ambassadors' for events.
• Coordinate set up and tear down of show booth materials.
• Maintain mall displays, including renting the right space and negotiating terms.
• Drive a truck with a trailer for event logistics.
• Identify, book, and coordinate appropriate shows and festivals.
• Plan, administrate, and execute show strategy, including ordering materials and distributing equipment.
• Champion residential and commercial marketing presentations aimed at local realtors, designers, retirement communities, and institutional prospects.
• Generate over 2,000 leads to drive $2 million in sales and over 3,000 leads for $3 million in sales.
• Schedule 60% of leads, many on the day of contact.

Requirements

• Entrepreneurial passion for sales and management.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in a high-pressure, fast-growth retail environment.
• Proven leadership track record of exceeding goals and a solid work ethic.
• Event planning experience is a must.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

• Experience in marketing (1 year preferred).
• Ability to commute to El Cajon, CA 92020 (preferred).
• Willingness to relocate to El Cajon, CA 92020 before starting work (required).
