About the position

The Event Manager position is a dynamic role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of scheduled events. This includes planning, organizing, and scheduling necessary assets and vendors to ensure successful event execution. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments, which may include working in warehouses and off-site locations. A successful Event Manager must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating flexibility in their schedule to accommodate weekends and holidays. The role requires a positive attitude, excellent verbal communication skills, and exceptional spatial awareness. Organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations are crucial, as is the capability to safely operate construction tools and hardware. In this position, the Event Manager will coordinate and manage event personnel, ensuring that safety standards are met and that job duties are completed to the satisfaction of upper management. Training event specialists on the proper use and assembly of equipment such as staging platforms, truss structures, and large tents is also a key responsibility. The Event Manager will serve as the main contact for interactions between the MEC Events Team and promotional staff, coordinating job duties during events and overseeing the construction and deconstruction of event equipment and structures. Additionally, the Event Manager will provide recaps of events and performances, including activations and staff performance evaluations. Maintaining and servicing equipment, as well as ensuring cleanliness in the warehouse and workspaces, are also part of the role. The Event Manager will promote brand awareness by fostering positive interactions between the brand, consumers, and lifestyle, thereby enhancing the overall brand image for Monster Energy. The position requires the ability to work in various settings and weather conditions, and the flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Event planning - coordination and management of assets, personnel and event budgets.
  • Manage event personnel to ensure proper safety standards are met and job duties are completed to upper management's expectations.
  • Train event specialists to properly use and build equipment including staging platforms, truss structures, and large tents.
  • Act as the main contact person for interactions between MEC Events Team and event promotional staff and employees.
  • Coordinate job duties of personnel during events.
  • Construct and de-construct various event equipment and buildings.
  • Provide event and performance recaps, including event activations and staff performance.
  • Maintain, service, and clean equipment, warehouse/work space, and vehicles.
  • Promote brand awareness by creating a combined interaction with brand, consumers, and lifestyle to generate a positive brand image.
  • Maintain event site during activation, including janitorial services, crowd control, and restocking products.
  • Properly secure and load/unload trucks.
  • Demonstrate superior attention to detail.
  • Work in various settings (warehouse, off-site, in the office) and in any weather conditions.
  • Work effectively in a group setting as well as independently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years or more event production, management, and activation or related field experience.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to grasp complex concepts and execute decisively.
  • Excellent planning, negotiating, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Programs - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 60-90%.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 LBS and occasionally 100 LBS.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Self-starter with outstanding time management skills.
  • Experience with inventory systems.
  • Ability to physically participate in the construction/build of event structures.
  • Candidates should reside in regional proximity to Lebanon, TN warehouse.
