About the position

The Event Marketing Manager for Global Marketing Programs at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for strategizing and leading complex internal event programs. This role requires exceptional event management, relationship building, and project management skills to effectively manage various programs and work streams within the AWS Global Internal Events Team. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and ensuring successful execution of events while maintaining strong relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and lead small, complex programs within the Internal Events portfolio.
• Build the program and communications strategy; determine goals and create work back plans with deliverables.
• Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and agencies; oversee budget management.
• Track, analyze, and communicate success metrics for events.
• Support Lead Program Managers with event and work stream management across multiple programs.
• Identify and implement process efficiencies and effectiveness improvements.
• Earn trust and maintain strong relationships across the organization to support goals.
• Utilize exceptional communication skills to manage leadership reviews, team meetings, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
• Support on-site execution of events.
• Juggle multiple priorities while executing high-quality deliverables with attention to detail.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
• Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.
• Ability to travel 30% of the time and work across time zones.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional organization.
