About the position

The Event Marketing Manager at Leaf Home is a dynamic role that requires an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong work ethic. This position is pivotal in driving event-based marketing initiatives aimed at generating sales leads for the sales representatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive event calendar, ensuring that all events are strategically planned and effectively managed to maximize lead generation. This includes attending various trade shows, home shows, fairs, festivals, and community events, where the Event Marketing Manager will oversee the event marketing team to ensure they are generating new sales leads effectively. In addition to event management, the Event Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a team of Event Marketers. This involves creating accountability through established goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team. The manager will also be responsible for budgeting and staffing for local events, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet the company's objectives. Tracking and reporting event metrics will be essential to evaluate the performance and return on investment (ROI) of each event, with a focus on exceeding sales lead quotas based on established KPIs. The role requires collaboration with local Operation and Installation Managers to enhance brand presence in the local market. The Event Marketing Manager must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be a self-starter capable of managing and developing others. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment is crucial, as is the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for scheduled events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive event-based marketing initiatives to generate sales leads for sales representative follow-up.
  • Identify, schedule, and plan an event calendar for a team of Event Marketers in assigned territory.
  • Manage budgeting and staffing for identified local events.
  • Attend trade shows, home shows, fairs, festivals, and community events to generate new sales leads.
  • Collaborate with local Operation and Installation Managers to grow brand presence within the local market.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop Event Marketers, creating accountability through established goals and KPIs.
  • Track and report event metrics to evaluate performance and ROI of events.
  • Exceed sales lead quotas based upon established KPIs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years experience in successful lead generation and management positions in direct-to-consumer industries.
  • Strong recruiting and training skills.
  • Experience with budgeting and planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage and develop others.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
  • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift attention to meet the demands of different stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment.
