About the position

The Event Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing event-based marketing initiatives aimed at generating sales leads. This role involves hiring, training, and managing a team of Event Marketers, as well as planning and overseeing local events to enhance brand presence and drive sales. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams to achieve marketing goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive event-based marketing initiatives to generate sales leads for sales representative follow-up
• Identify, schedule, and plan an event calendar for a team of Event Marketers in assigned territory
• Manage budgeting and staffing for identified local events
• Attend trade shows, home shows, fairs, festivals, and community events to generate new sales leads
• Collaborate with local Operation and Installation Managers to grow brand presence within the local market
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop Event Marketers, creating accountability through established goals and KPIs
• Track and report event metrics to evaluate performance and ROI of events
• Exceed sales lead quotas based upon established KPIs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years experience in successful lead generation and management positions in direct-to-consumer industries
• Strong recruiting and training skills
• Experience with budgeting and planning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with ability to manage and develop others
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access)
• Ability to juggle various work activities and shift attention to meet demands of different stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment
