About the position

SHRM is seeking an experienced and innovative Event Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of B2B2C event marketing campaigns. This role focuses on creating engaging, personalized experiences for corporate buying committees and individual attendees, utilizing an audience-centric strategy that is omni-channel and agile. The Event Marketing Manager will oversee the full event marketing lifecycle, ensuring the integration of storytelling, omnichannel campaigns, and partnership marketing to drive business growth and individual engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive marketing strategies that engage B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Leverage data analytics and customer insights to create hyper-personalized marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee multichannel marketing efforts, including email marketing, social media, SEO, paid ads, and content marketing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design interactive and immersive experiences pre- and post-event.
  • Build and manage relationships with key partners, influencers, speakers, and sponsors.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content, storytelling, blog posts, and videos.
  • Use analytics tools to measure, optimize, and report on the performance of marketing efforts.
  • Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals.
  • Develop and manage event marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies and ROI-driven campaigns.
  • Stay ahead of event marketing trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in event marketing, with a focus on B2B2C or similar industries.
  • 2 years in a managerial role preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., CJA, AEM) and marketing automation platforms, preferred experience with Marketo.
  • Experience leading and motivating marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Strong content marketing skills, with the ability to develop engaging narratives.
  • Familiarity with event platforms for virtual and hybrid events (e.g., Zoom, On24).
  • Ability to interpret data to drive decisions and optimize campaigns.
  • Proven track record in managing partnerships and influencer relationships.
