About the position

The Event Marketing Manager will oversee the planning and execution of various events during the Fur Rendezvous festival, ensuring a blend of creativity and organization to create memorable experiences. This role involves managing event logistics, marketing efforts, and volunteer coordination while working closely with clients and team members to achieve successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate aspects of events, including logistics, volunteer placement, and setup.
• Communicate effectively with the Executive Director to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
• Manage event marketing efforts through social media platforms to promote events and engage attendees.
• Oversee food service operations during the festival for volunteers and staff.
• Collect data on event performance and attendee feedback for future improvements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all event details are executed flawlessly.
• Organize volunteer needs and placement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management or related fields is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse client needs effectively.
• Familiarity with event marketing strategies and social media management is a plus.
• Ability to collect and analyze data related to event success metrics is desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.

Nice-to-haves
