About the position

The Event Marketing Manager at BAL will oversee strategic and tactical marketing initiatives for in-person events, webinars, and tradeshows. This role is integral to the Marketing & Business Development team, focusing on brand management, digital marketing, content development, and event execution. The position requires a proactive individual who can manage over 60 events annually while ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply the fundamentals of the business, target audiences, and department goals to execute 60+ events annually.
  • Own ideation, planning, and execution of marketing events, including venue research, internal and external communications, and event website creation.
  • Manage pre-event tasks such as audio-visual requirements, on-site staffing, and post-event data review.
  • Oversee an event planner to assist with all aspects of event planning and execution.
  • Develop marketing campaign strategies for events and webinars across all channels.
  • Collaborate with a high-performing team including subject matter experts and designers to execute marketing assets.
  • Ensure processes are followed for pre-event planning, audience targeting, and post-event lead generation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with third-party event organizers and partners to optimize marketing investments.
  • Lead recommendations on overall firm event strategy, including budget projections and event calendar management.
  • Manage continuing education vendor certification and sponsorship planning.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in B2B event marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strength in project management and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Wrike or similar project management software preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofing.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Cvent required.
  • Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Technologically savvy with eagerness to learn new programs and skills.
  • Proactive, self-sufficient, resourceful, and motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly among various personalities.
  • Willingness to be a team player and interact with peers, partners, management, and clients.
