About the position

The Civic Center Foundation is looking for a part-time Event Medic to ensure the health and safety of patrons attending events at the Civic Center Music Hall. This role involves responding to both emergency and non-emergency medical situations, providing patient care, and maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical situations
  • Use effective written and verbal communication
  • Maintain a high degree of attention to detail
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with staff, volunteers, patrons, and other first responders
  • Appropriate use of personal protective equipment
  • Document patient care accurately
  • Rapidly assess patients, triage, and treat multiple patients simultaneously
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Current certification with the National Registry of EMTs at the level of EMT, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic
  • Current licensure with the Oklahoma State Department of Health, EMS Division at the level of EMT, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Provider certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in EMS providing direct patient care
  • Experience providing event stand-by medical care
  • Ability to safely move an average size adult
  • Commitment to continuing education and training required to renew credentials
