About the position

The Event Operations Manager at Marriott International is responsible for directing and motivating the event services team to deliver high-quality service for various events. Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate the event services team to provide high-quality service.
• Monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities, including asset protection.
• Communicate clearly with all stakeholders involved in the success of events.
• Identify training opportunities and develop strategies to achieve goals.
• Manage banquet operations, including supply needs and adherence to laws and standards.
• Conduct monthly department meetings and set goals for the banquet team.
• Act as a liaison between kitchen staff and event services team.
• Attend pre-event meetings to understand group needs and verify room setups.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are maintained in all event areas.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints effectively.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in event management, food and beverage, or a related field.
• Knowledge of wine and food pairings is essential.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
