Allied Universal® is hiring an Event Operations Manager who will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of administrative functions related to event management. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including invoicing, scheduling, client relations, event management, compliance, and the interviewing and selection process for dedicated clients. The Event Operations Manager will work closely with branch and functional leadership to ensure that all operational aspects are running smoothly and efficiently. The Event Operations Manager will maintain future work schedules by assigning appropriately trained personnel and will implement and improve detailed tracking of staff training and certifications. This role also requires the development and implementation of staffing plans to ensure that the physical security workforce is prepared for emergency operations and can support long-term growth. The manager will act in an oversight capacity to ensure that event staff meet vendor and client expectations, developing quality assurance programs and providing expert advice for resolving any shortcomings. In collaboration with the Hiring Specialist and Recruiting team, the Event Operations Manager will be actively involved in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and training of new employees. This includes participating in performance appraisals, handling employee grievances, and disciplining employees in consultation with the Branch Manager or General Manager. The manager will also establish and maintain an onsite inventory of critical supplies and make independent decisions regarding personnel assignments to optimize officer utilization and reduce non-billable overtime. The role requires the selection and placement of direct reports, delegation of work assignments, and implementation of performance improvement and career development plans. The Event Operations Manager will also be responsible for submitting procurement orders, making productivity and cost reduction recommendations, and acting as a backup for scheduling to ensure adequate coverage at all times. Additionally, the manager will conduct disciplinary and counseling sessions with staff, maintain high employee morale, and ensure compliance with company policies regarding timekeeping and breaks. Overall, this position is vital for ensuring a smooth-running operation and effective communication and training among event staff.
