About the position

The Event Coordinator at Lola's Restaurant & Bar will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of various events, ensuring that each occasion is memorable and meets the expectations of our clients. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage client relationships effectively and deliver a seamless event experience from start to finish. The Event Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries through multiple channels including Resy, phone, and email. In this role, the Event Coordinator will facilitate the entire event planning process, starting from the initial contact with clients to the final execution of the event. This includes understanding client needs, coordinating logistics, and ensuring that all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly. The coordinator will also be responsible for achieving annual sales targets by organizing group and catering events, which involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through partnerships with local businesses. Networking will be a key component of this role, as the Event Coordinator will develop action plans and participate in events to expand the client base. Building guest loyalty and encouraging repeat bookings will also be essential. Collaboration with the service team is crucial, as the coordinator will need to communicate event specifics and work closely with management and culinary staff to meet event objectives. The role requires effective prioritization of tasks to ensure smooth operations during events, as well as engaging with clients on-site to maintain a positive atmosphere. After each event, the coordinator will conduct follow-ups with clients to gather feedback and maintain contact for future opportunities.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the West Loop area.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in catering or special events.
  • Experience in the restaurant industry or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including extended shifts when necessary.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficient in software applications such as TOAST, Microsoft Office, and Canva.
