About the position

The Remote Event Operations Manager position at Horizon Hospitality is designed for individuals who are passionate about high-profile corporate events and unique experiences. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and management of various client programs. As the principal representative and lead liaison for these programs, the Event Operations Manager will be responsible for obtaining signed contracts, managing addendums, and overseeing the final invoice process. This position is a response to the company's growth and is expected to contribute significantly to its continued success, which has been established over nearly three decades. In this role, the Event Operations Manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring that all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly. The position requires a strong focus on collaboration within a team environment, where hard work and results are recognized and rewarded. The successful candidate will be expected to travel for tradeshows, site visits, program execution, and industry events, making flexibility and adaptability key components of this role. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills, enabling them to develop effective program operations. They will also need to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as these tools are essential for creating presentations and managing data related to event operations. This is a remote position, allowing for flexibility in work location, but candidates must reside in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, or California.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the principal representative and lead liaison for client programs.
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage assigned programs effectively.
  • Obtain signed contracts and addendums from clients.
  • Complete the final invoice process for events.
  • Develop strategies for effective program operations.
  • Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload as needed.
  • Travel for tradeshows, site visits, program execution, and industry events.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of related experience in program operation, sales, marketing, partnership negotiating, and contracting.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • DMC experience and/or DMCP certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks.
