About the position

SAIC is currently seeking an Event Operations Planner located in Pearl City, Hawaii to support the USINDOPACOM in coordinating and managing the logistics of equipment and transportation, as well as producing and managing event support and facility documentation. This role involves a variety of responsibilities that are crucial for the successful execution of events and exercises. The Event Operations Planner will coordinate and manage virtual collaboration, maintaining relevant exercise support data on SharePoint. This includes developing and maintaining event support and facility documentation and products, such as event support plans, Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) slide decks, and requirement charts to track event technology, application, and communication requirements. The planner will work closely with military, civilian, and contractor personnel to identify, verify, and track all event IT, COMMS, and System/Network requirements. A key aspect of this role is implementing and managing the access and badging process for each exercise or event. The planner will also create, manage, and disseminate event floor plans for transitions and execution, ensuring that all logistical aspects are covered. Additionally, the Event Operations Planner will collaborate with the Event Support team to produce event Information Management / Knowledge Management (IM/KM) briefs and create and present the PWC Facility Brief for each event. Furthermore, the planner will be responsible for creating and managing exercise and facility SharePoint sites, as well as daily agendas and schedules. Processing travel documents for deployed events as assigned is also part of the job. The planner will work with a small team to make inputs and manage the internal calendar, while also communicating with and leading meetings with USINDOPACOM leadership and Action Officers/Planners, Component Command exercise planners, and Work Group Leads. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of event planning and execution are handled efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage virtual collaboration and maintain relevant exercise support data on SharePoint.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft TEAMS and establishing video teleconference (VTC) meetings.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Connect, Microsoft SharePoint, and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
