About the position

The Event Planner and Administrative Assistant position is a part-time role based in Appleton, WI, with a pay range of $18 to $20 per hour. This position is designed for a motivated individual who will provide essential administrative support to senior-level leaders within a manufacturing company. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, as it may involve working for events outside of regular hours. The typical schedule can be structured as either four hours a day from Monday to Friday or three full days a week, depending on the needs of the organization and the events planned. In this role, the individual will be responsible for managing and arranging meetings and events, which includes planning both small and large gatherings. Key tasks involve ordering lunches for meetings, ensuring that conference rooms are well-stocked with snacks and drinks, and maintaining a tidy environment by pushing in chairs and preparing the space for attendees. Additionally, the Event Planner will coordinate travel arrangements for the leadership team, which may include both domestic and international travel. The position also entails managing office supply inventory, distributing mail, greeting customers and vendors, and performing general office duties as assigned. This role is crucial for ensuring that the administrative functions of the office run smoothly and efficiently, allowing senior leaders to focus on their strategic responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for senior level leaders.

Requirements

  • Available to work between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence.
  • Proficient in MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in Canva.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
  • Ability to be adaptable, flexible, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience providing complex, confidential administrative support in a high-profile environment.
  • Ability to work well in teams and with all levels within the organization.
