About the position

ONTHEMARC Events is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Event Planner & Banquet Captain to join our dynamic team. This full-time role involves overseeing event execution, collaborating with clients to plan events, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning and food & beverage management, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and captain 1-2 events weekly, overseeing event setup and breakdown.
  • Manage staff at events including servers, food runners, and bartenders.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and create detailed event plans.
  • Coordinate menu selections and other creative elements for events.
  • Liaise with outside vendors to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
  • Conduct post-event reviews with clients and internal teams to assess success.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in Food & Beverage management.
  • 3-5 years of event planning experience.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Tripleseat preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Tripleseat is preferred.
