About the position

As an Event Planner/Coordinator at CACI, you will play a crucial role in organizing and conducting special events, particularly the DoD CIO Annual Awards Program and Ceremony. This position requires a strong ability to manage various aspects of event planning, including logistics, scheduling, and communication with stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that all activities and milestones for the Awards Program are meticulously organized and executed. Your role will involve evaluating events in depth with clients, proposing modifications to enhance the planning process, and maintaining clear communication regarding the awards nomination process. Additionally, you will coordinate the publication of awards certificates with the WHS Graphics Office and manage the budget for the events. On-site management during the Awards Ceremony will also be a key responsibility, requiring strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across the Department of Defense (DoD).

Responsibilities

  • Support organizing and conducting special events, including the DoD CIO Annual Awards Program and Ceremony.
  • List, organize, manage, and schedule required activities/milestones for the Awards Program year.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in writing, proofreading, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Evaluate the meeting or event in depth with clients and propose modifications to the planning process.
  • Communicate clearly to address any questions on the awards nomination process.
  • Coordinate awards certificate publication with the WHS Graphics Office.
  • Research, recommend, and coordinate trophy vendor options.
  • Manage the budget for the events.
  • Oversee on-site event management during the Awards Ceremony event.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with senior stakeholders across DoD.
  • Exhibit strong detail-oriented and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of general professional experience.
  • Minimum Clearance: Secret.
