About the position

The Event Planner of Education & Field Events at The Standard is responsible for the proactive support and management of various events, focusing on logistics, project management, and vendor coordination. This role involves independent management of assigned events, ensuring successful execution from planning to post-event analysis, while also providing strategic support to the Field to enhance customer engagement. The position requires travel to oversee event logistics and entails direct accountability for all aspects of event execution, including budget management and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned events independently, including project management and vendor management.
  • Oversee event logistics, including site selection, vendor/supplier management, and participant travel arrangements.
  • Provide strategic and consultative support for field events at various levels.
  • Act as the focal point for meeting and event support, lending expertise and leadership as needed.
  • Utilize industry benchmarks to improve event delivery and budget utilization.
  • Manage logistics and deliverables for strategic trade shows, including booth rentals and marketing materials.
  • Oversee administration of the Continuing Education program and certifications.
  • Develop and track key metrics to demonstrate return on investment and overall impact.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in corporate event and/or meeting planning with large scale attendance at the national level.
  • Exceptional organization and logistics background with problem anticipation skills.
  • Experience using technology tools for tracking metrics, specifically ROI tracking in Salesforce.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Professional licensure or certification such as CMP.
