About the position

The Event Planner for Education & Field Events at The Standard is responsible for the proactive planning, logistics, and project management of various events. This role involves managing assigned events independently, overseeing vendor management, event design, production, and technology integration. The Event Planner will also support event stakeholders and ensure successful execution of events through strategic planning and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive support in planning, logistics, and project management of events.
  • Independently manage assigned events including project management and vendor management.
  • Oversee event design, production, and technology integration.
  • Equip the Field with content, guidance, tools, and technology for customer success.
  • Meet and consult with event stakeholders in all aspects of planning.
  • Travel to oversee event logistics onsite at assigned events.
  • Manage all phases of assigned event execution including project plan and budget management.
  • Communicate regularly with event leadership and the leadership team.
  • Manage event logistics including site selection, vendor management, and participant arrangements.
  • Provide strategic support for field events at regional and individual levels.
  • Act as a focal point for meeting and event support, lending expertise and leadership.
  • Utilize industry benchmarks to improve event delivery and budget utilization.
  • Manage logistics for strategic RP trade shows and oversee booth management.
  • Source and plan receptions and manage show budgets.
  • Oversee administration of Continuing Education program and certifications.
  • Develop and track key metrics to show ROI and overall impact on the business.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in corporate event and/or meeting planning with large scale attendance.
  • Exceptional organization and logistics background.
  • Experience using technology tools for tracking metrics (e.g., ROI tracking in Salesforce).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and take ownership of responsibilities.
