The Family Service Director (Event Planner/Funeral Director) plays a crucial role in providing compassionate service to families during their time of need. This position involves educating families about funeral products and services, ensuring that their needs are met with care and professionalism. Responsibilities

• Serve families with care and compassion during the funeral planning process.
• Educate families on making informed decisions regarding funeral products and services.
• Demonstrate CFCS' Core Values in all interactions with families and staff.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage multiple funeral cases simultaneously while maintaining a 'Family First' approach.
• Plan and execute special events related to funerals and memorial services.

Requirements

• Valid Funeral Director License preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in a customer service role with direct public contact.
• Knowledge of the Catholic faith, rituals, and traditions.
• Strong customer service experience and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with event planning and execution.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several funeral cases at the same time.
• Excellent communication and telephone skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
• Proficient in the use of computers, software, and technology.

Nice-to-haves

• College degree preferred.
• Desire to obtain a funeral director license in California.
