About the position

The Event Planner/Manager at The Eye Restaurant is responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of events, ensuring that every detail aligns with clients' visions and expectations. This role requires a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in event management, capable of delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a variety of events, including corporate meetings, weddings, and social gatherings.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences for each event.
• Negotiate contracts with venues, hotels, restaurants, and other service providers to secure the best terms.
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.
• Coordinate logistics such as catering, transportation, audiovisual equipment, and décor.
• Upsell additional services or enhancements to clients to maximize their event experience.
• Provide outstanding guest services before, during, and after events to ensure client satisfaction.
• Manage timelines effectively to ensure all aspects of the event are executed on schedule.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event planning or management within the hospitality industry.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contracts.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of budgeting practices related to event planning.
• Exceptional communication skills for interacting with clients and vendors.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A background in guest services is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with hospitality trends and best practices in events management is a plus.
