About the position

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is seeking an experienced Event Planner to join our team, focusing on the planning and execution of both digital and in-person events across the United States. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our hosted events, webinars, and conferences are executed flawlessly, showcasing our leadership in derivative markets and Fixed Income & Data Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all logistical and operational aspects of these events, ensuring that they meet the high standards expected by our stakeholders and participants. The Event Planner will collaborate closely with various internal teams, including Growth Marketing, Social, and Content Teams, to maximize the impact of our events. This includes negotiating contracts with venues, hotels, and vendors to ensure value for money while maintaining the quality of our events. The role requires a keen understanding of cross-company business objectives to effectively market our events and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders involved. Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a high-demand environment with multiple deliverables are essential for this position. The Event Planner will also be tasked with managing event marketing budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying areas for improvement in processes and cost efficiencies. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of ICE's events and enhance our brand presence in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management and execution of all logistical and operational aspects for digital and in-person events.
  • Maximize ICE brand across all events illustrating our core leadership across derivative markets and Fixed Income & Data Services.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan, manage and execute hosted events, sponsored events and webinars across the company.
  • Help negotiate and facilitate value for money contracts with event venues, hotels, caterers/restaurants, audio visual vendors, etc. in conjunction with procurement.
  • Ensure maximization of value across all external events.
  • Partner with Growth Marketing, Social and Content Teams to repurpose content and help extend the life of events.
  • Understand cross-company business objectives to help establish and maintain strong event marketing presence.
  • Manage and maintain event marketing budgets and closely manage expenses for listed company, proprietary and partnered events.
  • Partner and collaborate with business units and external parties through transparency and constant communication, as well as timely responses to all inquiries and requests.
  • Identify and communicate areas for improvement including process and cost efficiencies and strategic alignment across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate events management
  • Positive attitude and strong people skills
  • Experience in webinar management
  • Exceptional analytic, project management and organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple demands, manage shifting priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and approach based on specific audiences
  • Demonstrated success with developing positive relationships with clients, other third parties and internal partners
  • Experience with content creation and agenda development preferred
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and as part of a cross-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and negotiation skills
  • Experience using ON24, Zoom, Eloqua, Salesforce, Monday.com and other marketing tools a plus
