The Events Planner will organize and coordinate various types of events, such as conferences, meetings, parties, and corporate functions. This role involves providing event planning services for up to 50 events, including contracted events, and facilitating all aspects of these events. The Events Planner will be responsible for coordinating events, traveling to proposed venues for site visits, and providing monthly reports on event progress and outcomes. For up to 50 ANG Yellow Ribbon events, the planner will manage all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, venue location management, administrative services, food and beverage services, childcare services, audio-visual needs, and onsite support services. In this position, the Events Planner will collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements, objectives, and budget. They will develop event concepts and themes based on client preferences and needs, research and identify suitable venues, and assist with negotiating contracts and securing bookings. The planner will also create and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are accounted for and kept within the allocated budget. Marketing strategies will be employed to promote events and attract attendees, utilizing various channels such as social media, email marketing, and traditional advertising methods. The Events Planner will oversee event setup, ensuring all elements are in place according to the event plan, and manage event staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations during the event. They will also oversee all logistical aspects, including arranging transportation, accommodation, and equipment rentals. Post-event evaluations will be conducted to assess the success of the event and gather feedback from clients and attendees, ensuring continuous improvement in event planning processes.
