About the position

SAIC's Core Creative Multimedia Production is currently seeking an Event Planner for a position located in Northern VA. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a creative and fast-paced environment, supporting an Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The Event Planner will be responsible for coordinating a wide variety of internal and public customer events, including all hands meetings, town halls, panel discussions, offsites, and visits to external organizations. The position requires a deep understanding of security protocols across various customer buildings, as these protocols will influence event planning decisions. The ideal candidate will be someone who is not only experienced in event planning but also possesses a strong creative flair. This role demands collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that events are executed flawlessly and meet the high standards expected by the IC customer. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their expertise in designing and executing conferences and tradeshows, as well as their experience in both virtual and in-person event planning. The Event Planner will also need to build and maintain a robust network of contacts across multiple offices and decision-makers to facilitate successful event coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a wide variety of internal and public customer events including all hands, town halls, panel discussions, offsites, and visits to external organizations.
  • Gain familiarity with security protocols across various customer buildings to determine how local security limitations will impact event planning.
  • Design and execute conferences and tradeshows, ensuring all aspects of the events are managed effectively.
  • Provide an end-to-end event plan sample as part of the application process.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure events meet the high standards expected by the IC customer.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • Minimum of five years' direct experience in complex event planning.
  • Experience planning end-to-end executive level events.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Robust interpersonal skills that enable building and coordinating a wide network of multiple offices and decision makers.
