About the position

The Event Planner at United Real Estate is responsible for planning and executing a variety of events for both internal and external audiences. This role involves coordinating all aspects of events, from vendor relationships to event logistics, ensuring that each event meets the company's standards and objectives. The Event Planner will report directly to the Director of Network Operations and will play a key role in enhancing the company's event offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing working relationships with vendors and venues
  • Researching and recommending venue selection
  • Assisting with creating event proposals that fit event requirements and presenting proposals by deadline
  • Performing research to understand the requirements and details of each event
  • Executing event details and aspects, including seating, dining, and guests
  • Assisting with planning and organizing events in accordance with financial and time restraints
  • Addressing potential problems that may arise during event planning
  • Remaining aware of current industry trends regarding conference locations and activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct experience in a fast-paced and professional business environment
  • 3+ years in a hospitality role, such as hotel event planning
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong people skills to accomplish a wide range of tasks in a teamwork environment
  • Ability to forecast event expenses and adhere to an assigned budget
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills while maintaining discretion
  • Technology savvy with MS Office and Zoom
  • Advanced organizational skills to stay proactive and prepared
