The Event Planning Manager plays a crucial role in servicing Sales and Wedding Event bookings. This position serves as the liaison between couples, Meeting Planners, Wedding Planners, and the resort team. Key responsibilities include administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage, and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick-up, and overseeing billing instructions and final reviews. Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between couples, Meeting Planners, Wedding Planners, and the resort team.
  • Administer the Sales agreement for events.
  • Detail all Food, Beverage, and A/V needs for events.
  • Manage room blocks and pick-up for events.
  • Oversee billing instructions and final review for events.
  • Serve as the on-site contact for the smooth execution of all events.

Requirements

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales/event and wedding planning or comparable experience preferred.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, able to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferably two years of hotel experience or completion of an Event Management trainee program.
  • Preferred candidate has completed PSS or equivalent training.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Knowledge of local vendors and resources for event planning.
