The Event Planning Manager at Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor is a pivotal role that focuses on delivering exceptional service for both corporate and social events. This position requires a candidate with extensive experience in event planning, particularly within the hotel industry. The Event Planning Manager serves as the primary liaison between Meeting Planners and hotel staff, ensuring that all aspects of the event are meticulously planned and executed. This includes administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage, and Audio/Visual needs, managing room blocks and pick-up, and overseeing billing instructions and final reviews. In addition to these responsibilities, the Event Planning Manager is the on-site contact for events, responsible for ensuring that everything runs smoothly from start to finish. This role demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Event Planning Manager will work closely with various departments within the hotel to coordinate logistics and ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded. Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between Meeting Planners and hotel staff.
  • Administer the Sales agreement for events.
  • Detail all Food, Beverage, and A/V needs for events.
  • Manage room blocks and pick-up for events.
  • Oversee billing instructions and final review of events.
  • Serve as the on-site contact for all events, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Coordinate with various hotel departments to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program.
