About the position

Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health is dedicated solely to the pursuit of more effective treatments for memory loss, dementia, and other cognitive disorders and to the provision of state-of-the-art care for individuals affected by these diseases and their care partners. The Event Planning Manager will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of small projects or phases of larger projects within the organization. This position requires a proactive approach to coordinating the activities of a project team directed by a Project Manager level III or IV. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews. This includes preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, and completing audits to identify trends. The Event Planning Manager will also determine system improvements and implement necessary changes to enhance efficiency. Financial management is a key component of this role, as the manager will participate in developing forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, and scheduling expenditures. Analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions will be essential to meet financial objectives. The manager will set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, ensuring that all projects align with the department's and organization's goals. Additionally, the role involves enhancing the department's and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. The Event Planning Manager will work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, contributing to a supportive caregiver family united in shared values and purpose.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Effective relationship building skills.
  • Three years of experience coordinating or managing various projects.
  • High School diploma/GED and seven years of experience.
  • Associate's degree and five years of experience.
  • Master's degree and two years of experience.
