About the position

Unbridled is seeking an Event Production Manager to join our growing team in Denver, CO. This role is pivotal as we expand our client base in the corporate events and experiential marketing sector. The Production Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Production Management and other team members to oversee and produce a variety of events, ranging from small gatherings to large-scale productions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for event production, ensuring that all aspects of the events are executed flawlessly. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of equipment, creative collateral, and fabrication, as well as set design and construction. You will also handle budget management, client and venue interactions, and the creation and execution of production schedules and show flows for client events. A key aspect of the role involves advising clients on the latest presentation and equipment technologies, necessitating familiarity with current advancements in professional-level event technologies. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients and team members. You will be expected to develop, collaborate, and manage technical schedules, plans, and budgets that align with client needs for all production-related events. This role requires a proactive approach to sourcing, selecting, and managing all necessary equipment and personnel, ensuring seamless communication between vendors, venues, and support staff. Additionally, you will lead the reconciliation process for vendor invoices and manage project budgets accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and produce small- to large-scale events and creative projects.
  • Work with the Director of Production Management and production team members.
  • Procure equipment, creative collateral, and fabrication for events.
  • Manage set design and construction, budget management, and production schedules.
  • Interface with clients and venues to ensure event success.
  • Advise clients on current presentation and equipment technologies.
  • Develop and manage technical schedules, plans, and budgets for events.
  • Source, select, and manage all equipment and technical personnel providers.
  • Maintain communication between all vendors, venue, crew, and support staff.
  • Provide recommendations for managing front and backstage personnel.
  • Build and manage show budgets and track changes to scope.
  • Lead reconciliation process for vendor invoices and project budgets.
  • Create ongoing and detailed production schedules and matrixes.
  • Work with Producers and Creative teams to solve technical challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education in the event industry.
  • 5+ years of professional event management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical event production.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Strong project management background with the ability to create and manage complex timelines.
  • Experience in advancing and managing local union labor is a plus.
  • Required experience drafting detailed floorplans in Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
  • Preferred experience drafting in 3D with basic rendering capabilities.
  • Proficiency in software such as Vectorworks or AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Google Workspace & Adobe Creative Suite.
  • 1+ years of Virtual Event Experience - VMix, Zoom/MS Teams/WebEx.
