About the position

The Event Production Supervisor at MGM Resorts International is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of live events at T-Mobile Arena. This role involves working closely with production teams, vendors, and staff to ensure that all technical, logistical, and operational aspects of events run smoothly, providing a seamless experience for artists, athletes, and audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise event production operations, including setting and striking of all staging aspects, bleachers, chairs, basketball courts, ice rinks, and any other event setups.
  • Schedule and supervise stagehand crews, including riggers, deck-hands, loaders, A/V technicians, and spotlight operators.
  • Collaborate with clients, promoters, and internal teams to ensure all event needs are met.
  • Perform liaison duties between facility and production crews.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained, stored, and operational.
  • Conduct inspections before and after each bleacher move.
  • Submit requests for purchase materials, supplies, and equipment, and monitor event timelines and budgets.
  • Review, evaluate subordinates, and document time sheets.
  • Enforce fire and safety codes, and verify monthly fire extinguisher inspections.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, cargo trucks, rental vehicles, and company vehicles.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback to improve future production processes.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a stagehand in the special events field in setting up and tearing down events or relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a stagehand supervisor in setting up and tearing down events or relevant experience.
  • Previous production experience in the special events field such as concerts, hockey, boxing, mixed martial arts, basketball operations, or another related field.
  • Previous venue or arena management experience.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
