About the position

As part of the Event Management team at Ticketmaster, the Event Programmer will play a crucial role in supporting clients with their event management needs. This part-time position, requiring 20 hours per week, will involve building events and making necessary updates based on client requests. The Event Programmer will be responsible for collecting, reviewing, and accurately inputting data into the Ticketmaster Host system, adhering to procedural best practices and established standards. The role requires a strong attention to detail, as the programmer will need to verify the output of their data entry to ensure accuracy. In addition to data management, the Event Programmer will work closely with clients, promoters, and various internal departments, including marketing, accounting, customer service, and event operations. Establishing and developing relationships with assigned clients is a key aspect of this role, as is providing on-call support during evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Event Programmer will also be expected to meet and exceed service level agreements related to event management, ensuring that all client needs are met promptly and effectively. The position may also involve additional duties as assigned by senior team members, providing a dynamic work environment where adaptability and problem-solving skills are essential. Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, and input accurate data into the Ticketmaster Host system.
  • Verify the output of data entry to ensure accuracy.
  • Meet and exceed Event Management service level agreements.
  • Work with clients, promoters, and internal departments to create events and distribute information.
  • Establish and develop relationships with assigned clients.
  • Participate in on-call schedule rotation for after-hours, weekend, and holiday client support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior team members.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience with the Ticketmaster System or related field experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Box Office experience is a plus.
  • Overall awareness of the entertainment business is important.
  • Knowledge of how TM departments impact one another and outside clients is a plus.
  • Flexibility to accommodate a schedule that includes some Saturdays, evenings, and holidays.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with excellent data entry skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS degree preferred.
