About the position

As an Event Programmer at Ticketmaster, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients with their event management needs. This position is part of the Event Management team, where you will be responsible for building events and making necessary updates based on client requests. Your primary duties will involve collecting, reviewing, and accurately inputting data into the Ticketmaster Host system, adhering to procedural best practices and established standards. You will also be tasked with verifying the output to ensure accuracy and compliance with service level agreements. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, promoters, and internal departments such as marketing, accounting, customer service, and event operations. Establishing and developing strong relationships with assigned clients will be essential to your success. Additionally, you will participate in an on-call schedule rotation, providing after-hours, weekend, and holiday support as needed. Other responsibilities may be assigned by senior team members, including the Senior Event Specialist, Event Management Manager, or Regional Director of Event Management. To excel in this position, you will need to demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. A background in the entertainment business and familiarity with the Ticketmaster system will be advantageous. You will also need to accommodate a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, and input accurate data into the Ticketmaster Host system.
  • Verify output to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  • Meet and exceed Event Management service level agreements.
  • Accurately input event data and identify and resolve event-related errors.
  • Collaborate with clients, promoters, and internal departments to create events and distribute information.
  • Establish and develop relationships with assigned clients.
  • Participate in on-call schedule rotation for after-hours, weekend, and holiday client support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior team members.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience with the Ticketmaster System or related field experience.
  • Service-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Some degree of creativity, latitude, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Box Office experience is a plus.
  • Overall awareness of the entertainment business is important.
  • Knowledge of how TM departments impact one another and outside clients is a plus.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule including some Saturdays, evenings, and holidays.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, good organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with excellent data entry skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS degree preferred.
