About the position

The Event Project Manager at Sight & Sound Productions is responsible for organizing and managing audio-visual production for high-profile corporate events. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing the execution of events from design to completion. The position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all event details are executed seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing audio-visual production for corporate events from design to event day.
  • Meeting with clients to determine needs and budget.
  • Designing and building quotes for events.
  • Coordinating vendors and venues for events.
  • Overseeing loading of trucks and on-site management during events.
  • Creating floor plans and designing stage sets.
  • Conducting pre/post-conference meetings with clients and departments.
  • Guiding pre-planning and client deadlines for event execution.
  • Working closely with technical, warehouse, marketing, sales, and project management teams.
  • Ensuring adequate staff is scheduled for production events in collaboration with the Production Manager.
  • Participating in design reviews with internal staff, clients, and consultants.
  • Overseeing load-on and load-out for events.
  • Acting as the liaison onsite for clients and technician teams.
  • Attending weekly meetings to provide status reports on events.
  • Preparing and managing job costing for cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  • At least 3 to 5 years of audio-visual project management experience in the event/hospitality industry.
  • Creative and passionate about events.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual production and equipment.
  • Proficient in creating budgets and understanding profit and loss statements.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous management experience and leadership abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings.
  • Proficiency in general office equipment and ability to learn new software quickly.

Nice-to-haves
