About the position

Nasdaq is looking for an enthusiastic professional with prior experience in an events sales and production position, preferably within a similar organization such as a professional services or financial services firm. In this role, you will coordinate and help execute hosted and sponsored events on-site at the Nasdaq Client Experience Center as well as market the space and support paid events in New York, NY. The Event Sales Associate position is heavily focused on coordinating logistics and acting as a project manager to help execute a project plan to ensure the overall success of the event. This role will be responsible for assisting the Event Manager in marketing and selling the Nasdaq Client Experience Center (80%) and will also work with internal clients to plan, manage and deliver key event marketing initiatives for all business lines within the Listings, Workflow & Insights umbrella often acting as the project manager to keep stakeholders on track (20%). This position is based in New York, NY and reports to the Event Manager, based in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and securing space for paid client events (80%)
  • Ensure meeting event revenue goals, once assigned
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the event space to potential clients
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to create compelling promotional materials
  • Utilize social media, email campaigns, and other digital marketing tools to reach a wider audience
  • Attend industry events and networking functions to generate leads and build relationships with potential clients (as needed)
  • Analyze market trends and client feedback to continuously improve marketing efforts and enhance the visibility of the event space
  • Provide support in conjunction with the Event Manager for booked events
  • Assist clients to liaise with catering, AV, Broadcast, Facilities, Building Security, Creative Teams, etc.
  • Assist with hosted, sponsored and paid events across Listings, Workflow & Insights
  • Manage budget at all steps of the event, starting at the conceptualization process
  • Reconcile with accounting, all payments for these events, purchase order management and tracking budget
  • Provide ROI tracking following each event utilizing Monday.com
  • Track and manage deadlines around sponsor event deliverables while updating internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrate superior customer service and hospitality to all clients
  • Act as on-site support for additional designated meetings and events
  • Adhere to meeting protocols (cost saving measures, risk policies, contract approvals)

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of event management, production and client experience
  • Passion for event planning
  • Well-presented with a professional approach
  • Exceptional verbal and communication skills and ability to interact with c-level executives
  • Flexible and a hardworking team player; ability to flex and step in as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask and lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of CRM systems; preferably in Salesforce, Knak and Marketo
  • Experience with marketing automation tools
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in marketing, communications or hospitality
  • Ability to adhere to an in-office work schedule, including working evenings and weekends as needed (15-25%)
