In this role, the Event Sales Manager will engage in various activities, including preparing event proposals, coordinating event details, and managing vendor relationships. Administrative responsibilities include maintaining client files, utilizing catering software, and participating in operational meetings to review upcoming events. Responsibilities

  • Solicit new business through outside cold sales calls and manage existing client relationships.
  • Prepare event proposals and menu plans, and attend venue site walkthroughs.
  • Coordinate event details, including vendor management for rental equipment, florals, and entertainment.
  • Attend client events to ensure smooth transitions between sales and operations, and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Work on special large-scale projects, including administrative tasks and on-site event management as needed.
  • Maintain client files and utilize catering software for database management and proposal preparation.
  • Participate in weekly operational meetings to review upcoming events with the operations team.
  • Cultivate a new client base and generate leads while nurturing current client relationships.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
