About the position

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for guiding customers through event experiences, ensuring their goals and objectives are met to create compelling events. This role focuses on revenue generation by securing business through a proactive sales approach, maintaining relationships with hotel personnel, and supporting company initiatives and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue generation by soliciting and securing business through a proactive sales approach.
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers.
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events.
  • Attend site visits and pre-conference planning meetings to support customer events.
  • Understand event cost structures and incorporate them into solution designs according to profitability guidelines.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and venue personnel.
  • Research and understand customer history to create personalized experiences.
  • Ensure customer information is accurate in the CRM system.
  • Refer and guide customers through the Encore network for additional opportunities.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
  • Ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded and updated in the CRM.
  • Support sales forecasting efforts and ensure timely submissions.
  • Stay informed about new product/service offerings and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 1+ years of technology sales or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry and sales processes preferred.
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality sales management.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales forecasting.
