About the position

The Sales Manager, Venues at Four Seasons Hotel Nashville is a pivotal role responsible for guiding customers through their event experiences, ensuring that their goals and objectives are met to create compelling events. This position requires a proactive and consultative sales approach, utilizing Encore's sales processes and methodologies to secure business and maximize revenue capture from an assigned customer base. The Sales Manager will cultivate and maintain relationships with key hotel personnel to enhance overall business relationships and support company initiatives, business strategies, and core values. In this role, the Sales Manager will be tasked with revenue generation by soliciting and securing business through effective communication and relationship management. This includes preparing and presenting quotes and proposals in a timely manner, collaborating with vendors and other departments to capture and service events, and attending site visits and pre-conference planning meetings to support customer experiences. Understanding the event cost structure and incorporating it into solution designs according to established profitability guidelines is also essential. Delivering world-class service is a key responsibility, which involves thoroughly researching customer history to create personalized experiences, maintaining accurate customer information in the CRM system, and actively guiding customers through the Encore network to secure additional opportunities. The Sales Manager must maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve established revenue targets and support sales forecasting efforts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Continuous learning about new product offerings and emerging technologies that support meetings and events is also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit and secure business through a proactive, consultative sales approach.

  • Ensure all customer information is accurate in the CRM system.
  • Guide customers through the Encore network to secure additional opportunities.

  • Support sales forecasting efforts and ensure accuracy.
  • Learn and adopt all SOPs related to the role and new initiatives.

Requirements

  • BS/BA or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience required.
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred.
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
