This includes preparing and presenting quotes and proposals in a timely manner, collaborating with vendors and other departments to capture and service events, and attending site visits and pre-conference planning meetings as necessary. A strong understanding of the event cost structure is essential, as the Sales Manager will need to incorporate this knowledge into solution designs while adhering to established profitability guidelines. The Sales Manager is also responsible for delivering world-class service by maintaining relationships with customers and venue personnel. This involves thorough research of customer history to create personalized experiences, attending customer meetings to understand their goals, and ensuring that all customer information is accurately maintained in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The role requires maintaining a healthy sales pipeline to achieve established revenue targets and supporting sales forecasting efforts to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
