About the position

The Sales Manager at Rosewood Miramar Beach, part of Encore Global, plays a crucial role in guiding customers through their event experiences. This position is responsible for identifying solutions that align with customer goals and objectives, ultimately leading to a compelling event experience. The Sales Manager will utilize all available tools to maximize event and revenue capture from their assigned customer base. Building and maintaining relationships with key hotel personnel is essential to enhance the overall business relationship with the hotel. The Sales Manager will also support company initiatives, business strategies, and core values, ensuring that all actions align with the organization's mission. In this role, the Sales Manager will focus on revenue generation by proactively soliciting and securing business through a consultative sales approach. This includes preparing and presenting quotes and proposals in a timely manner, collaborating with vendors and other departments to capture and service events, and attending site visits and pre-conference planning meetings to support the customer event experience. Understanding the event cost structure and incorporating it into solution designs according to established profitability guidelines is also a key responsibility. The Sales Manager is expected to deliver world-class service by cultivating and maintaining relationships with customers and venue personnel. This involves thoroughly researching customer history to create personalized experiences, attending customer meetings to understand their goals, and ensuring that all customer information is accurate in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and ensuring all opportunities are accurately recorded in the CRM is critical for achieving established revenue targets. The Sales Manager will also support sales forecasting efforts and maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings, as well as emerging technology in the meetings and events sector.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • 1+ years of experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred.
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred.
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event management or planning.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.
