The Event Sales Manager at Westin Anaheim is a pivotal role responsible for guiding customers through their event experiences, ensuring that their goals and objectives are met to create compelling events. The Sales Manager will cultivate and maintain relationships with key hotel personnel, enhancing the overall business relationship with the hotel and supporting company initiatives, business strategies, and core values. In this role, the Sales Manager will be tasked with revenue generation by soliciting and securing business through effective communication and relationship management. This includes preparing and presenting quotes and proposals in a timely manner, collaborating with vendors and other departments to service events, and attending site visits and pre-conference planning meetings to support customer experiences. Understanding the event cost structure is crucial, as the Sales Manager will incorporate this knowledge into solution designs while adhering to established profitability guidelines. Delivering world-class service is a key responsibility, which involves cultivating relationships with customers and venue personnel, thoroughly researching customer history to create personalized experiences, and ensuring all customer information is accurately maintained in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
