About the position

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and managing social and corporate events, ensuring high-quality service and hospitality. This role involves overseeing event operations, managing vendor interactions, and maintaining property cleanliness, all while providing exceptional customer service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional appearance and mannerism.
  • Efficiently and politely handle all telephone, email, internet, and in-person inquiries.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the business operation, including all food and drink menus to ensure that you are able to upsell events, respond to customer inquiries, manage deposits, and payment schedules.
  • Manage the Houseman team's daily activities utilizing chat groups to communicate ongoing tasks.
  • Work with the Sales Team and Media company to manage social media pertaining to corporate functions.
  • Build relationships with 3rd party vendors that service our events.
  • Field all client requests as it pertains to the planning of their event before and day of the event.
  • Host site tours for clients.
  • Work closely with the 3rd party catering company to vet and cultivate an efficient catering service team.
  • Oversee vendor load-in conduct, rental inventory, in-house inventory, oversee set up and breakdown.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service.
  • Knowledge of catering and logistics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Observant and thorough.
  • Responsible and punctual.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures.
  • Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods, and working nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good communication skills to handle tense situations with coworkers and guests calmly and rationally.
