As an Event Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue by booking and managing events, from weddings to corporate conferences. The primary focus will be on selling Banquet Food and Beverage, along with responsibilities such as menu planning, agenda setting, and hotel meeting services. You will review contracts and facilitate communication before, during, and post-event with hotel staff to ensure a high level of service. Additionally, you will contribute to site inspections, maintain strong customer relationships, and work collaboratively with the sales and catering staff. Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue by booking and managing events, including weddings and corporate conferences.
  • Sell Banquet Food and Beverage services.
  • Plan menus and set agendas for events.
  • Review contracts and facilitate communication with hotel staff before, during, and after events.
  • Contribute to site inspections and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and catering staff to ensure high service levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of event planning and logistics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • 1 year of food and beverage experience.
  • Confident and professional appearance.
  • Proactive sales approach, assertive and fast-paced, driven to succeed.
  • Understanding of market segment, competitor's strengths, weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand.
  • Time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects with desired outcomes for each.
  • Creativity in designing events.
